Eligibility:
Applicants must be early career professionals, Ph.D. or graduate students in geoscience, engineering, physics, climate science, science communications, and related business and social science fields. Enrollment is competitive and limited to 32 participants who must commit to the full program on July 21-30, 2024. International applications are eligible; however, ~90% of the selections will be made from applicants who are working or studying in the United States.
Travel:
Travel is required to Denver, CO on Sunday, July 21, and departure from Denver, CO on the morning of July 30. Airfare is covered by the program for currently enrolled students. Early career professionals may be required to pay for their own airfare. Ground transportation costs to and from the airport must be covered by all participants. RECS will arrange for and cover lodging and other ground transportation expenses throughout the program.
Tuition:
There is no fee to attend RECS 20234; tuition is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management.
Meals:
RECS will cover most meals; however, participants should plan for some meals and out-of-pocket expenses.
